Profile
I am a Professor of Modern Chinese Literature and Culture in the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at the University of Oklahoma (OU). I received my Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at Rutgers University. My research interests include modern and contemporary Chinese literatures, Chinese cinemas, comparative literature, gender and sexuality, critical theory, labor, ecocriticism, and translation.
I currently serve as the Editor in Chief of the peer-reviewed journal Chinese Literature and Thought Today and is a contributing editor for World Literature Today. Previously I served as Acting Editor in Chief of Chinese Literature Today from 2017 to 2021.
